Malas are beautiful, sacred strands of beads that can either be worn as necklaces or used as meditation tools. Each mala is made with 108 gemstone beads, one Guru bead, separated by hand-tied knots and completed with a handmade tassel. During this workshop, we will gather in community to support one another and create space for nourishing creative flow. To begin we will invite prana shakti (the power of life force) through a practice of mudra (hand gesture), breath work, and gentle movement. During this practice we will clarify the intentions we desire to nurture as we journey towards a new year. This practice will set us up to ignite the ritual of mala creation in community. Whether you join this sacred gathering and mala making workshop to create a gift for a loved one, a new adornment for your yoga outfit, an inspiring new meditation tool or simply a tangible reminder of your intentions, you will be provided all the tools and supported through your creative journey.
Preregistration is required for this workshop to ensure there are enough materials for everyone. After registering, you will receive an email with a link to a custom order page with a variety of gemstone bead options to select for your unique mala.
